When your lan needs to be repaired, you need to right click on the Local Area Connection and then select Repair.
However doing it frequently is bit annoying. You can have a command interface through a batch file or thru Start > Run and then put the below command to repair your net connection through command interface.
netsh winsock reset catalog
or
netsh lan reconnect
